We are thrilled to share a major milestone in the journey of the Disability Rights Fund (DRF)! Today, we proudly launch our new brand identity and unveil our innovative 5-year strategic plan, Disability-Led Futures for a Just World: DRF’s Path to 2029. This moment marks a celebration of our collective commitment to transforming the future of disability rights movements in the Global South, centering the voices of those most marginalized as they lead their own agendas for justice and inclusion.

Our new strategic plan and theory of change are rooted in the values of participation, interdependence, and solidarity, bringing an intersectional feminist approach to our work. It builds on DRF’s rich history of supporting grassroots organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) to advance critical disability-inclusive policies and movements worldwide. From spearheading local and national disability rights laws to demanding new rules for accountability from mainstream donors and human rights movements, we are deeply proud of the milestones DRF grantee partners have achieved.

DRF’s new brand identity reflects our commitment to inclusion. Our new logo symbolizes the diversity and journeys of movements. The dynamic design, with symbolism of rays, embodies unity and convergence, aligning with DRF’s values to deepen solidarity for disability-led futures.

Yet, the work ahead is more urgent than ever. As we face complex global crises—conflicts, climate change, and growing inequities—we need bold, innovative solutions led by those with the lived experiences of disability. Our 5-year plan lays out four key pillars to achieve this: unleashing the power of disability movements, driving change through peer and collective learning, opening spaces for advocacy, and strengthening our organization’s capacity for sustainability and growth.

Disability-Led Futures for a Just World is more than a document: it’s a call to action to abundantly resource and center the transformative solutions of movements for inclusion.

Join us in embracing this future with hope and determination. We also invite you to engage with our Plan and spread the word on LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.

Thank you for being a part of this journey.
